Source DNA sequence encoding the COVID-19 Spike S protein extracellular domain,[16-1188]R683A (accession # QHD43416.1) fused to a a T4 Folsom trimerzation domain and a C-terminal His AVI tag was expressed in HEK Cells.
Molecular weight Recombinant 2019-nCoV Spike S trimer protein is a protein consisting of the S1+S2 subunits amino acid residues. The protein has a theoretical MW of 140kDa,however due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 200 kDa protein on reduced SDS-PAGE.
Activity The activity was tested by binding Human ACE2 in functional ELISA assay (see figure below).
Purity >95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Endotoxin Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).
Presentation Recombinant nCoV-2019 Spike S trimer protein was lyophilized from 0.2 µm filtered PBS pH7.4.
Reconstitution A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Storage The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C.

  • 2019-ncov S (coating at 0.1ug-well) binding with Human ACE2-Fc (cat#RKQ9BYF1F) .The linear range was found to be 23 ng/ml
