Herpes Simplex Virus-1 gG Recombinant
$800.00 – $1,100.00
accession | P06484 |
Source | DNA sequence encoding immunodominant fragment of human Herpesvirus Glycoprotein G was expressed in Escherichia Coli. |
Molecular weight | Recombinant HSV-1 gG encodes the immunodominant sequences of the human Herpesvirus Glycoprotein G. This molecule has a calculated mass of approximately 16kDa. Recombinant HSV1 gG contains an N terminal GST purification tag and migrates as an approximately 42 kDa protein under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. |
Purity | >95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Applications | Recombinant human Herpesvirus-1 gG antigen is suitable for ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of HSV with minimal specificity problems. |
Presentation | Lyophilized from 25mM Tris-Hcl pH 7.2, 1mM EDTA and 50% glycerol. |
Reconstitution | A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. |
Storage | The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C. Upon reconstitution, this protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20° C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
