Optimized DNA sequence  encoding  mature chain of Mouse Angiopoietin-1 including an C-terminal His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells. 


 
Molecular weight:

Recombinant Angpt1 is a  protein consisting of 484 amino acid residue subunits,  due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 70kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.


 
Purity:
>97%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
 

 
Endotoxin:
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).

 
Presentation:
Recombinant Mouse Angiopoietin-1  is lyophilized from 0.2 μm filtered 20mM SOdium Phosphate,  pH7.5 ,200mM NaCl,  5% Trehalose.

              
Reconstitution:

A quick spin of the vial followed by gently mixing in distilled water to prepare a stock solution concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL.

Avoid vigorous shaking or vortex


              
Storage:

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20° C.

Upon reconstitution, the protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months, addition of a carrier protein to your working aliquots (0.1% BSA or HSA) is recommended for long term storage

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Angiopoietin-1

Angiopoietin-2 (Ang2)2 is a 70-kDa secreted ligand whose increased expression has been implicated in a range of diseases, including cancer, sepsis, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. The primary receptor for Ang2 is the transmembrane tyrosine kinase Tie2 (3) that is expressed mainly on vascular endothelial cells and myeloid cells (1, 4). Ang2 plays an important role in vascular remodeling during development, but in adult tissues, Ang2 concentrations are usually low. An increase in Ang2 levels in disease allows the molecule to compete for binding to a common interface on Tie2 with the related agonist Ang1.
