Source:

Optimized DNA sequence  encoding extracellular domain of mouse Disintegrin and metalloproteinase 15- ADAM15 (ASP208 - THR697) including a C-terminal His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.

Molecular weight:

Recombinant mouse ADAM15 (MDC15) is a protein consisting of 497 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately as 70kDa  band protein on reduced SDS-PAGE.

Purity:
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC

Biological Activity:
The activity was tested by the ability of immobilized recombinant mouse ADAM15  to bind Human PTK6 .

Endotoxin:
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).

Presentation:
Recombinant mouse ADAM15(MDC-15) is lyophilized  from 0.2 μm filtered PBS solution,  pH7.2 ,  5% Trehalose.

Reconstitution:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

Storage:
Recombinant ADAM15 can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Usage:
This product is for research purposes only.It may not be used for therapeutics or diagnostic purposes.

ADAM15

ADAM15 is unique because of the presence of an Arginine- Glycine-Aspartic acid (RGD) motif in its disintegrin domain that binds αvβ3 and α5β1 integrins.Furthermore, ADAM15 is among the several members in the ADAM family exhibiting sheddase activity, conferred by zinc- binding protease active sites in their metalloprotease domain, enabling cleavage of cell surface proteins. MDC-15 (metargidin) (13, 14) is the only known MDC that has an RGD sequence in its disintegrin-like domain. MDC-15 is widely expressed in various tissues and cells, including human umbilical vein endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells
