Catalog no. :  RKP41217

Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human extracellular domain of human CD200 including a C-terminal 6His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.

Molecular weight:

Recombinant CD200 is a monomer protein consisting of 213 amino acid residue subunits,  due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 40-45kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.

>98%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC

Biological Activity:
The activity was tested by the ability of immobilized recombinant mouse CD200 (1ug/ml,100ul/well) to bind mouse CD200R1 with a linear range of 0.1-20 ng/ml

Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/µg(1EU/µg).

Recombinant CD200 is supplied as a 0.2 μm filtered PBS solution,  pH7.2 .

Recombinant CD200, as supplied, can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8° C for one month, or at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

CD200 is a member of the immunoglobulin type 1 superfamily that is highly expressed in the central nervous system, dendritic cells, and lymphocytes. CD200 is functionally involved in an immunosuppressive signaling pathway via interaction with its receptor, CD200R, with downstream effects of macrophage inhibition, induction of regulatory T cells, and inhibition of tumor-specific T cells. In addition to being expressed in normal tissues, CD200 has also been demonstrated in solid tumors5 and hematologic malignancies, such as acute leukemias, chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma, hairy cell leukemia, mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, classic Hodgkin lymphoma, and angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. In addition, neoplastic plasma cells frequently upregulate CD200 expression, as demonstrated by the large proportion of CD200+ plasma cell myeloma (PCM) cases (approximately 70%) found on gene expression profiling and flow cytometry. In contrast, normal plasma cells are CD200.
